Cybercrime is on the rise. Small to medium businesses are particularly vulnerable because they are less likely to have appropriate defenses in place, making them a new favorite target of cyber criminals. At Sierra Cybersecurity, we offer innovative services and solutions tailor-made for small to medium-sized businesses. We help you keep your critical client information, vendor information, and intellectual property safe and secure so your business can focus on what matters.
Anyone can host your website or application but not everyone can offer a secure environment where your services are closely monitored and tested for vulnerabilities. Uptime percentage, or website dependability, is important but means nothing if your site becomes compromised. At Sierra Cybersecurity, we offer managed hosting solutions at rates comparable to the “big box store” hosting companies but with a much greater ratio of technicians to servers for better service. Our servers are extremely fast, using only Solid State Drives and dynamically allocated RAM levels. All hosting accounts include unlimited email accounts at no additional charge.
We develop enterprise-class websites and web applications for small and medium businesses. We differ from other development firms because we take the time to learn your business so that the end product integrates seamlessly into your business strategy. Our applications and websites are built using current industry standards with a heavy emphasis on security and scalability. Unlike other companies, we don’t simply install a theme on a WordPress site and repackage it. We custom build our sites and applications, which protects you from the continuous flow of Content Management System vulnerabilities.
Much like an annual check-up with your doctor or taking your vehicle in for a tune up, your technology systems need regular security assessments. With Sierra Cybersecurity, qualified professionals assess everything regularly, from your website and email to your building’s physical security and the integrity of your data backups. When the assessment is complete, you will be given a thorough yet understandable synopsis, including areas of concern and recommended solutions.
Who manages your disaster recovery planning? Do you have a documented plan? What would happen if you lost your entire customer database, inventory, or accounts receivable database today? For nearly all small and medium modern businesses, having verified, accessible backups to all business data in case of cyber attack or hardware failure is absolutely imperative. With years of experience in data compression and integrity checking, Sierra Cybersecurity can develop and test a recovery plan for you, including configuring hardware and software.
We are your information technology partners. We are dedicated to creating more secure networks and applications to help safeguard your business from the ever-present threats posed by cybercrime.

When Washoe County approached us to host and subsequently improve upon their Wandering Prevention Program software, we were thrilled. Not only was the idea of assisting local law enforcement agencies in locating at risk individuals appealing to us, it dovetailed perfectly with our established reputation for extreme availability and security. Since assuming control over the WPP software application, we have made numerous improvements while registered clients have increased by nearly 80%.

We are proud to announce the new Sober24 software application developed for Washoe County Social Services is nearing completion and will begin live testing in the next few weeks. This application was developed to be used at the Washoe County Crossroads program as well as the actual Sober24 building currently being operated by Washoe County Department of Alternative Sentencing. The new application will greatly streamline the drug and alcohol testing process at both locations and is expected to considerably reduce operating costs by increasing efficiency and allowing the programs to purchase testing supplies at the lowest possible prices.
